Dear ###USER_name###!

This is our regular e-newsletter featuring recent research from the consortium project European Development Co-operation to 2020 [EDC2020]. For more information on the EDC2020 project please visit www.edc2020.eu or send an e-mail to info@edc2020.eu.

The project on European Development Co-operation to 2020 seeks to give policy advice on three major challenges facing Europe's development policy. These include new actors in international development, energy security, democracy and development as well as climate change and development. Experts from five European organisations work together in this EADI-led consortium project: Fundación para las Relaciones Internacionales y el Diálogo Exterior (FRIDE), Madrid/Spain; German Development Institute (DIE), Bonn/Germany; Institute of Development Studies (IDS), Brighton/UK; Overseas Development Institute (ODI), London/UK and the Society for International Development, Netherlands' Chapter (SID), The Hague/Netherlands.

In this first edition of the newsletter we report on our recent events, the project launch conference and a panel at the EADI General Conference, and present our first project publications. Please feel free to send your comments to info@edc2020.eu.

Yours sincerely
Thomas Lawo / Executive Secretary (EADI)
