The EDC2020 project will organize a special session at the UN-IHDP Open Meeting which will take place from 26 to 30 April 2009 in Bonn/Germany. The panel entitled "Financing adaptation to climate change: What is Europe’s role?" is scheduled for 30 April 2009, 11 am. The Open Meeting is entitled "Social Challenges of Global Change".
On 12 March 2009, FRIDE hosts the second international seminar on the links between European polices on development co-operation, energy security and the promotion of good governance. The seminar which takes place in Madrid / Spain has a special focus on the African region.
On February 12 and 13, 2009, the German Development Institute/Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE), in association with EADI and the EDC 2020 research programme, will host a workshop that aims to identify and assess the key forces that will shape the landscape that European development policy will have to respond to in the future.
