27 May 2009 - Policy Forum on the Global Economic Crisis

The European Commission has predicted that Europe, a key player in development co-operation, will face a deep and wide ranging recession this year. Certainly, the global economic crisis is bound to have a major impact on developing countries.
On 27 May 2009 a one-day policy forum entitled "Fighting the global recesion's storm: Implications for European development co-operation?" took place at Residence Palace in Brussels / Belgium.

30 April 2009 - Special Session at the 7th UN-IHDP Open Meeting

On 30 April 2009 the EDC2020 project organized a special session at the UN-IHDP Open Meeting which took place from 26 to 30 April 2009 in Bonn/Germany. The report on the panel entitled "Financing adaptation to climate change: What is Europe’s role?" is now online.
